I was born September 27, 1985 in San Jose, Costa Rica. When I was a little over 1 year old, my family moved to Miami, Florida. Then, we moved again to Fairfax, Virginia when I was bout 5 and finally back to Costa Rica when I was a few months shy of 10.
Fact: I’ve moved 21 times in my life. I’m about to turn 35 right now. Let’s see how many more moved are in store.
I had a typical lukewarm Christian upbringing. I knew of Jesus, but he never really was important part of my life. At one point, he was pretty much out of my life altogether. I’m not particularly proud of that season in my life. To make things worse, I had about 3 near death experiences around that time, but God saved me every time out of pure Grace.
He knew things would change in 2010 when I finally invited Jesus into my life. Things skyrocketed for me spiritually speaking from that point on. I’ve been blessed and I’ve been tested ever since.
Today, after over a decade of allowing Jesus take hold of my heart and experiencing life from a completely different and wonderful perspective, I’ve decided to do my part in shouting from the rooftops how great my God is. I believe that people should not only know of Jesus, but should actually follow him because he is the direct path to the Father.
I’m married to the beautiful, brilliant, and extremely talented Ruth Ortiz a.k.a Gia Ortiz.
